WhatsApp has publically made the WhatsApp calling feature available to the general public on android for now since we can since the feature is server controlled and it has been running in form of an invite cycles that opens and closes after some time.

Previously, an invite window required users to have the lastest WhatsApp apk version installed and they had to receive a call from someone who already had the feature. But as of yesterday, all you need to do is download the latest version of WhatsApp from the WhatsApp website or the Apk Mirror and install it then your menu will automatically change to show a call tab on the extreme left.

To install this new apk, you need to enable installation from ‘Unknown sources’ by going to your security setting on your android phone. This will update your current version and boom you can call.

You will notice new features like tapping a small contact photo showing a pop up with the contacts profile photo and 3 call-to-action buttons for calling, messaging and information.

You can download the apk from these sources.
